Vivo Z5 To Arrive on July 31 With Snapdragon 712, 48MP Cam

With the launch of the Vivo Z5 in China on July 31, Vivo is increasing its budget portfolio. This will be the second Snapdragon 712-powered tool of the company, something it has disclosed through a sequence of teasers. Vivo also verified a ton of other important characteristics in this upcoming device that we will see.

Vivo has already looked at the Vivo Z5 from all angles, confirming it will feature a rear triple camera configuration and a front waterdrop notch display. But it has now taken its official Weibo to disclose even more data about the Z5.

Vivo Z5 will feature an AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch design, as you can see in the first set of teasers below. The teaser also shows that there will also be on board an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Also, as I've informed you, the Snapdragon 712 chipset will power the Vivo Z5–the same we've seen lately on India's Vivo Z1 Pro. It is a small upgrade over Snapdragon 710 and similar to the Snapdragon 675 as well. Besides, TENAA listings indicated settings for 6GB+64 GB and 8GB+128 GB RAM and storage. Vivo's Multi-Turbo technology will also be baked into the machine.

Besides, the other two teasers shed light on this budget smartphone's camera and battery specs. On the Vivo Z5, we'll see a triple camera configuration with a main 48MP sensor and an ultra-wide-angle 8MP rumored lens and 2MP depth sensor. There's also a 32MP selfie shooter sitting in the waterdrop notch.

This smartphone will come with an enormous 4,500mAh battery and 22.5W out-of-the-box assistance for fast-charging. Obviously, it will run Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS, a feature-rich custom ROM of iOs-style.
