whatsapp new update
The Facebook-owned Whatsapp app is planning to bring some other updates,
and these features are very interesting and convenient at the same
time. There are about five new features here, and we are sure that it
will definitely boost the app's already unleavened popularity.
Today we bring you five features that are bound to change Whatsapp's overall user experience:
1. Dark Mode
Whatsapp's black mode feature is perhaps the most awaited feature on the
new update. This feature will give an enormous look to Whatsapp,
especially after the sunset hours on us. It comes from the phone and
damages our eyesight. In addition, it contributes to protect the
smartphone's battery. This feature has already been seen on the beta
version of the popular social networking app.
2. Quick Edit Media
Whatsapp is trying to introduce a quick editing media feature in the
app, and as we speak, it's under development. Similar to dark mode,
this feature has also been seen in the beta version of the app. This
feature will enable users to edit and make any necessary modifications
to the media files that have been sent or received. According to
WABetainfo, Whatsapp users will now be able to edit media files-in
chats, and then be able to share them directly.
3. More Forwarded Info
The app has taken multiple efforts to stop the spreading of rumors and
misinformation, and there is more to come. Another feature that will be
seen in the app soon is the ‘frequently forwarded’ feature. There was
news previously that announced that a message if forwarded more than 5
times, will have the label ‘frequently forwarded’. Adding to that,
Whatsapp will now notify users of the number of times that the message
has been forwarded.
4. QR Code
Whatsapp is working on a feature that includes QR codes, in which users
can now directly download QRs You can add new contacts using code.
Each user will have a unique QR code, which will be identical to the
name tag on Instagram. Users will be able to share QR codes with
others.
5. Hide muted status
Whatsapp currently has a feature called ‘mute status updates’, wherein
muted status updates don’t appear with the regular ones. However, they
still appear at the end of the list, in a faded manner. Whatsapp is
working on permanently deleting such muted status updates. This is quite
similar to Facebook’s unfollow button.
6. Share to Facebook Story
According to WABetaInfo, Whatsapp is working on a feature in which users
will be able to share a story directly on Whatsapp with their Facebook
account. While the possibilities of stories included in Instagram are a
mystery, but there is definite news about this update that Facebook has
initially been included for stories.
